I hear ya man. I'm the same way. I have all the makings of being AT LEAST above average if not down right remarkable at times. The trick is getting myself properly motivated/inspired. It's so ding-dang elusive and when it DOES happen sustaining it is just as difficult.
Sustaining is indeed the tricky part. Friggin' everything disrupts it. I try to "preload" my studio with everything I need so that all I have to do when the mood strikes is lock myself in there.

Enjoying this one a lot! I love it when things and/or energy comes from the head. Can't get a much more powerful metaphor than that.
