I know I said I was only going to post only on Mondays, but I'm in here up to my eyeballs in Skin Crawling posts, so I figured I'd through this extra in. I did this earlier this summer when the whole NSA mess began to unfold. Enjoy.
Here's another bit of teaser art from Buried. Buried is written by Bryant Dillon with art by Chris Thorne and colors by yours truly! If you like what you see here and would like to see more, support Skin Crawling Comics!
This is me playing with purple sharpies again. A quick portrait here exploring some P. Craig Russell style line work. I think I'd just gotten some new sharpies and was breaking them in. Not as much time to noodle things the way I used to. I used to get lost in the lines for hours.
Here are a couple of teaser images from Laura Bearl's and Carl Boehm's Story, "The Appetite". You can read some more about it here in the interview with Fanboy Comics. If like what you see here and want to see more, support Skin Crawling Comics!
It's been awhile since I've felt like the Featured Creature images were only sketches. The drawings and posts have mutated into something much larger than my original thought
behind the project. I feel silly calling them sketches anymore.
The production process for each piece has become quite involved,
mirroring much of the process of creating a finished comic book page.
As becoming a comic book creator is one of my personal goals, I suppose
unintentionally I've been moving in that direction all along. So what
does all this patter mean for the future of the Featured Creature?
