The Featured Creature 2012-13: Last Bites Part III, Crawling From The Wreckage

A new year dawned and I began to fully recuperate from my bout of Bronchitis. Within me, new fictions grew from the sorrows of the previous November.  I slowly began to put my life back together and crawl my way back towards health.  The first  Featured Creature of the year, a nasty three tongued demon, was also the first color creature of the year.  It would be spring before I would create another color creature, but by that time a lot would change for me personally and professionally.

Happy Birthday Featured Creature!

It was one year ago today that I began the weekly Featured Creature postings.  In celebration of that frightful day, here's a juicy treat.  I couldn't afford a whole fancy cake right now, but I did get you something bite sized and memorable.  It's the thought that counts, right?  Happy Birthday Featured Creature!

Skin Crawling Comics Today: "The Basement" Tease Art - Ends in 10 Days

Here's some teaser art from The Basement, the SCC story from Adam Wollet and Nick Valente.

Featured Creature: Earth Spirit

"I folded my pants and made a neat pile of my clothes, setting them down with my shoes near the entrance. I stepped tentatively into the cave.  There had been a strong breeze outside that was almost cold in the absence of my clothing, but as I moved into the ritual area and closer to the fire, the air was warm and nearly cloying.  I stood beside a small mat close to the fire as instructed and waited.

The Featured Creature 2012-13: Last Bites Part II, The Hard Walk

After the HZO and the hectic, mentally draining pace of October, November 2012 was quiet and fairly stress free in terms of production and process.  I posted pieces that I had mostly completed before hand.  However, the universe had plans for my stress levels that would test my very ability to survive.

Later that month, within the space of two weeks, my phone died and I lost my entire address book, my unemployment benefits permanently expired leaving me penniless, my vehicle died the true death, and I came down with the most severe case of bronchitis I've ever had in my life.  I feel like a bit of back story is needed here.

Psyche Delectus Tenebrarum Gallery Update

Within the Psyche Delectus, I felt that there were many pieces getting overlooked because of their horizontal orientation.  I'm not quite savvy enough with javascript to program it to rotate and adjust automatically, so in the meantime, I've come up with this temporary solution.  I've added several of the horizontal pieces to the slideshow at a diminished size.  The transitions are a little rough between those and the vertical pieces, but I feel like it still works.  Let me know what you think.
